scenarios<\/strong> that may increase the impacts and, therefore, the risk to which the city, its economy and social fabric are exposed. At the international level, climate scenarios have been developed, by the <em>Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change<\/em> (<em><strong>IPCC<\/strong><\/em>) of the United Nations, which consider <strong>various projections of increases in global emissions and temperatures<\/strong> that will depend on the measures countries are able to implement to stay within the temperature increase targets of the Paris Agreement. While the scenarios in the projection of what may happen at the end of the century have significant margins of uncertainty, all cities that are working on adaptation consider <strong>scenarios to 2050<\/strong> as the reference for identifying adaptation measures.  <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-11dbf9e7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"11dbf9e7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The results of the projections<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6245b8c7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6245b8c7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roma Capitale has asked <em><strong>CMCC<\/strong> <\/em><em>(Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change<\/em>) to prepare for the Climate Adaptation Strategy <strong>an assessment of climate variations<\/strong> in the period <strong>between 2036 and 2065<\/strong>. But what <strong>is indisputable<\/strong> is that in Rome, albeit with differences related to emission scenarios, <strong>there will be an increase in the frequency and intensity of atmospheric phenomena<\/strong> that already currently cause significant impacts on the city, <strong>as well as an increase in periods of intense heat and so-called tropical nights.<\/strong>
